Jane’s Walk is a movement of free, citizen-led walking conversations inspired by Jane Jacobs.
Jane’s Walk
On the first weekend of May every year, Jane’s Walk festivals take place in hundreds of cities around the world. Jane’s Walks encourage people to share stories about their neighbourhoods, discover unseen aspects of their communities, and use walking as a way to connect with their neighbours.

The inaugural Nottingham Jane’s Walk was held on 6th May 2026. Around 40 people attended and contributed to a walk around the east side of Nottingham.
The next Jane’s Walk Nottingham, hosted by Simon Middlecote of Abbey Park Estate. 10am 26th September 2026, meet at The Noticeboard, junction of Buckfast Way and Rufford Way.
