40 joined the first Jane’s Walk Nottingham!

The inaugural Jane’s Walk Nottingham was led by RIBA East Midlands and timed to follow their Make It Happen conference The walk picked up on the theme of creating viable, thriving and vibrant communities.

Following a route from the conference venue at Cleaver & Wake, via a number of fascinating heritage sites, urban disaster zones, quirky landscape features and hidden urban spaces, the walk ended up at the inspiring Fruit Market housing scheme in Nottingham’s Eastside.

The walk was free, open to all and followed a fully accessible route on public streets. The walk took around 90 minutes including stops to chat about the things we saw and to hear from local contributors.
