Some of my photos of German Evangelisti’s sculptures, captured at his latest exhibition “Sorg”.
German Evangelisti is a Chilean-Italian sculptor based in Oslo.
His hand carvings embrace the marks left by time in elm wood weathered by fungi, insects and the elements. A reflection on vulnerability, seeking beauty in the damaged. A balancing act between heavy masses and open voids, polished surfaces and raw textures, biomorphic curves and natural scars in the material.
“My sculptures are not merely objects in space; they are testimonies of resilience and the hidden beauty within that which has been broken, yet still remains.”
German’s exhibition, Sorg, is on display at the Ullensaker Kunstforening, from 7th February to 2nd March 2026.
